OBITUARY
Giovanni Girotto
October 4, 1925 – December 21, 2018
Giovanni passed away on Friday Dec 21, 2018 in the presence of his loved ones. He was predeceased by his brother Lino 1999, sisters Lina 2004, Maria 2006 and Theresa 2007.
He was born in Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso, Italy to the late Ferdinando and Maria (Stocco). Giovanni sought a better life for his family and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He loved family and friends and the many family gatherings and special occasions celebrated over the years.
Giovanni is survived by his wife, Rina (Ballan) of 69 years; two children, Gino and Franco (Beverly); six grandchildren, David, Leanna (Sennott), Sarah (Lutz), Mark, Bryan and Sean; and seven great grandchildren, Victor, Olivia, Hailey, Jenna, Trevor. Mason and Natalie.
A heartfelt thank you and gratitude to the Doctors and Nursing staff at Mt St Joseph’s Hospital who provided care during his final days.
The funeral will take place at on January 4th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish 525 Campbell Avenue, Vancouver, BC with the entombment to follow at 12:45pm at Ocean View Burial Park 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.
