With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Gilda on April 8, 2018. Born December 8, 1926 to Angelo and Maria Santinon. Gilda was a devoted wife to Celestin (predeceased 2010); she will be lovingly missed by her children Sandi (Lawrence), Gilbert (Donna), Karen, Michael (Julie); grandchildren David, Jeffrey, Sean, Steven, Brian, Jason, Nicholas; great-grandchildren Tyler, Paris, Georgia, Lucas, Quinn, Wesley, Annika and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gilda worked at the Hotel Vancouver for 25 years, but will remembered best for her countless hours volunteering at her church and her love for traveling. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Abbey Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
