Gérald Melanson
1925-2018
It is with deep sadness that the
family announces the death of Gérald Melanson, husband of
Adrienne (Haché) Melanson, of Bathurst, which occurred
Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the
age of 92.
Born in Bathurst he was the son of the
late Léandre Melanson and Celia
LeBlanc.
Besides his loving wife he is survived
by one daughter, Sylvie Melanson-Caissie
(Rolland) of Moncton and one son, Alain Melanson (Jacqueline) of
Tracadie.
Three grandchildren: Monica (Jeff),
Isabelle, Geneviève; and three great-grandchildren: Samuel,
Olivier et William.
One sister, Irène Lefebvre
of Ottawa, ON. Many nieces and
nephews.
Gérald was a veteran of the
Second World War, serving with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and
Overseas.
He was retired from the Chaleur
Regional Hospital.
He was predeceased by one daughter,
Lynne Melanson.
Visitation will be held at Elhatton
Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst, (www.elhatton.com) Friday,
January 26, 2018 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 am at Holy Rosary Church,
St. Peter Avenue, Bathurst.
