Georgette Olive Roy

Georgette Olive Roy, age 99, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2018 with loving family by her side.
Georgette was born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario on June 12, 1918. She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter Rita Jones (Don) and granddaughter Courtney Jones who spent many loving years sharing laughs and experiences with nanny; daughter Claire Patten (Bob) and granddaughters Chantal Patten, Tiffany Patten and grandson Grant Patten as well as two great grandchildren Seth (Chantal) and Ava Claire (Tiffany). She is also survived by her loving sister Therese Joanette (Delphis).
A special acknowledgement to Bob Taylor (Beverly) a close nephew who reunited with Georgette following her move to Bedford and together provided her with years of devotion and support.
Georgette is predeceased in her death by her parents Oliva and Albert Daoust, her first husband Arthur Brisebois (1970) and her second husband John Roy (2000) as well as her sisters Jeanne Taylor (Gilbert), Lucille Pepin (Jean), Sister Armande Daoust, Sister Germaine Daoust, Marcelle Sabourin (Guy), and brothers Fernand Daoust (Margaret), Gile Daoust (Rose), Gerald Daoust (Adele), Lionel Daoust (Yoland), and Jean-Guy Daoust (Jeanne D’arc).
Georgette will be remembered as a gentle loving lady who was adored by all those who knew her.
Special thanks to the staff of Northwood Ivany Place, Lupin House who provided Georgette with loving care throughout her time with them.
Her remains will be interred alongside Arthur and John at the Lasalle Cemetery, Sudbury, Ontario at a later date.
