It is with broken hearts that the family of the late
GEORGE « LADNER » HOLLETT of Lewin’s Cove announces
his passing. Ladner passed away at the Burin Peninsula
Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, December
22nd, 2018 at the age of
72. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories
are his wife Marie of 52 years; daughters, Janice Brake (Dale) of
Edmonton and Tina Farrell (Dwayne) of Fredericton; 2 grandchildren,
Joshua and Jarrett Farrell; brothers, Gordon (Georgina) of
Lewin’s Cove, Bill (Jessie) of Grand Beach, Paul (Margaret)
of Lewin’s Cove, Junior (Marion) of Lewin’s Cove,
Don (Vivian) of Lewin’s Cove and Mitchell (Brenda) of
Lewin’s Cove; sisters, Ruby Isaacs of Marystown, Shirley
Gerrow of Toronto, Pam Hughes of New York and Barbara Armstrong (Tom)
of Toronto; his homecare workers, Janet Hillier and Sheila Holley plus
a large circle of extended family and friends. Ladner was
predeceased by his parents Norman and Annie Hollett, parents-in-law
Melinda and James Mayo, brothers-in-law Harold Isaacs, Joseph Gerrow
and Ronald Hughes; and baby brother
Lester.
The Hollett Family will be accepting visitors at
Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South
on Sunday, December 23rd from 2pm to 9pm, Monday,
December 24th from 10am to 9pm and Tuesday,
December 25th from 2pm to 9pm.
Funeral Service will take place at Peninsula Funeral
Home in Creston South on Wednesday, December
26th at
2pm.
Interment to follow at
United Cemetery in Lewin’s Cove.
In Ladner’s
memory donations can be made to Hope United Church in
Lewin’s Cove or flowers gratefully
accepted.
