John, Gene passed away peacefully at the E’Gitzijit Endaawaad (Elder’s Facility), Saugeen First Nation on Saturday December 23, 2018 at the age of 66. Gene will be remembered by his Saugeen Home & Community Care Program staff & family. Predeceased by his mother Amey John; brothers Larry, Wilbur, Carson, and Fred; and sisters Rosemary LaValley, Greta Foster, Florence Johnson, and Lucy Besito. Gene will be missed by many nieces & nephews. Visitation at the Saugeen Fellowship Baptist Church, 696 French Bay Road, Saugeen First Nation on Wednesday December 26, 2018 from 7-9 PM. A Service to Honour Gene, will be conducted at the church on Thursday at 2 PM. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes at French Bay Cemetery at a later date.
