The family announces with great sadness her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday March 4, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
Beloved wife of 65 years to André Mailloux. Loving mother of Gilbert (Suzette) of Timmins, Roger (Pat) of Toronto, late Gary (Denise) of Timmins, Lina of Timmins, Pierre (Louanne) of Timmins, Christine Steep (Mark) of Timmins, Donald (Rose) of Timmins, Laurraine of Napean and Lisa Delli Quadri (Raphael) of Timmins. She will be sadly missed by her 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her siblings: Rheal Briand ( late Armande), Arnel Briand, Claudette Aikens (William) sister Lorraine Briand and Reginald Briand (late Aline) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Edouard and Leonie Briand, her brothers Donald, Gerald, Gerard, Ronald, Marcel, Raymond and her sister Therese Mousseau (Omer). The family would like to thank the nurses and the staff at the TDH Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time. The Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from the St-Joseph Church (Fr. Simon Drapeau officiating). Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation – Hospice Centre would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on March 8, 2018 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
