Obituary for
Freda MacLeod
The family announces with great sorrow her death on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the Golden Manor at the age of 102 years. Predeceased by her husband William MacLeod in 1981, her son Glenn MacLeod in 2017, her granddaughter Sharon MacLeod; her parents Martin and Janet Smith, her siblings Vernon Smith, Garth Smith, Lloyd Smith, Myrna McNeil and Velma McKay. She is survived by her son Gregory MacLeod and his wife Meri of Perth Road, her grandchildren Brenda and Marni; her great-grandchildren Lindsay and Jeremy ; her sister-in-law Gladys Smith; her brother-in-law Don McNeil both of Timmins, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wish to acknowledge the kindness and compassion shown by all the Golden Manor staff and volunteers during Freda’s stay. Respecting her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation will take place. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
