Ron passed away suddenly, but peacefully, with family, on Monday, July 9th 2018, in his 80th year. Ron leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Faye. Dear father of Steve (Gameba) and Murray (Krista) Frankcom, as well as step-father and friend to Ric (Darlene), Mark (Ann) and Jeff (Kelly) Archer. Beloved Papa to Dylan, Wendel, Zoe, Alexa, Jenn (Steve), Christie (Mitch), Stefanie (Chad), Ricky, Jazmin, Taylor (Shawna), Hannah and Maitlin. Cherished Grand Papa to Quinn, Jack, Bree, Bryson and Zaylia. Brother of Elvie (Sharon) and Del (Joyann) Frankcom. Pre-deceased by his parents Percy and Elsie Frankcom.
Ron was a staunch community supporter. He, among others, helped to carve Heritage Park out of the bush. Both he and Faye were proud supporters of the United Church, and if Ron wasn’t home, chances are he was using his finely honed building skills to improve the church property. A good Samaritan, he was always willing to help where help was needed.
He was also an avid athlete, excelling at curling and golf, as well as hockey and baseball, in his younger years. Pictures of championship teams adorn the walls of his home.
More than anything, Ron was a decent, caring, hard-working and thoughtful man, who loved his family. Rest in peace Ron. You will always be in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale on Friday, July 20th, from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21st, at St. John’s United Church at 11 am with a reception following.
Memorial donations to St. John’s United Church or the Elmvale Curling Club would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de FRANKCOM RONALD FRANCIS 2018.source
