Frank Ramos passed away in Vancouver on Thursday Sept 13th at the age of 78. Born on June 15, 1940 in Andros, Greece to Michael and Maria Ramoundos, he arrived in Canada in 1968. He was a retired plumber who had a passion for fishing, gardening, growing vegetables, and spending time with his friends and family. He served in the Greek military as a young man before laying roots in Canada, a country that became his home and place he loved. His family mourns his death but is comforted that his suffering from Parkinson’s disease has come to an end.
Frank married Georgina Ramos on Jan 04, 1969 in Vancouver British Columbia. He is survived by his children Michael, Dinos (Jennifer) Ramos, and his grandchildren Alexander and Julia Ramos.
Prayers will be held on Monday Sept. 24th at 7:00 pm at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus St. Vancouver where a funeral will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 25th at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby.
