Obituary of Florence Cameron
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence May Cameron, age 97, of Thorburn, formerly of Halifax, on November 2, 2018, at Valley View Villa, Riverton, NS, surrounded by the love of her family. Formerly of Halifax, she was the only child of Robert and Geraldine Anderson. She was married to the love of her life Alex Roy Cameron for 65 years.
« Moma » is survived by daughters Bonnie Holmes, Montreal; Nancy Freckelton (David), Thorburn; and Barbara Ronald, Saanichton, BC. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cynthia Holmes (Peter Darke), Toronto; Heather Holmes, Montreal; Amy Stackhouse (Scott), Green Hill; Alexander Freckelton (Michelle), Trenton; Ashley Freckelton (Brad MacQuarrie), Foxbrook; Jennifer Ronald (Cosmo Lauzon), BC; and Christopher Ronald (Joanna), BC. Florence had 12 great grandchildren, Cooper, Alexandre, Chloe, Kyle, Logan, Hudson, Annika, Hayden, Griffin, Sasha, Aurora, Lucas, and Marcus. She was a wonderful mother, Nanny, and Super Nanny. We will miss her very much.
Mass of the Christian burial will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, November 8, at Church of the Holy Name, Westville, NS, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 that day in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
Donations may be made to Valley View Villa Nursing Home, Riverton. A special thank you to the wonderful women on the second floor for their incredible and loving care.
