Florence Gertrude Wrixon
Wrixon, Florence, age 93 of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Oct 25, 2018 at the Sagewood retirement home.
Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude McDow. Besides taking care of her family Mom’s enjoyments included Sewing Knitting and crocheting.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Shirley (John) Marriott, Digby, Margaret Barlow, Lower Sackville, Sheila (Ted) Hix, Nanimo BC; sons, Thomas (Jean) Wrixon, Parrsborro, George Wrixon TimberTrail; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Florence was predeceased by her husband Gordon; grandsons, Kristopher, B.C. Johnny, NB and son-in-law Carl Barlow of NS.
Cremation has taken plaxce under the care of Atlantic Funeral Homes and by request there will be no visitation and a Graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donations in Florence’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Association
