Evelyn went to be with her Lord peacefully, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at University Gates at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of 65 years to Douglas. Loving mother of Warren (Jenny) Griffin, Mark (Laura) Griffin, Wendy (David) Armstrong and Janet (Peter) Steffens. Cherished grandma of Matthew, Victoria, Adam, Daniel, Joanna, Melissa, Christopher, Luke, Jacqueline, Robert and Ashlee. Great-Grandma to Mason, Cooper, Zosia and Gabriela. Dear Sister of John (Joan) McFarlane, Doreen (Paul) Stewart, Margaret (Jim) Bishop, Jeanette (Lorry) Didtrek, Douglas (Shelby) McFarlane, Bruce (Barbara) McFarlane. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Grace McFarlane and her brother Lorne.
Evelyn’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday, August 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 8 from 10-10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the funeral home . Private interment in Williamsburg Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Christian Blind Missions or Youth Unlimited would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
