Ethel led a very active life, walking downtown on a regular basis and then back to her home on Algonquin Avenue. One of her pastimes was working in her flower gardens and they were a sight to see. For many years Ethel volunteered at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 23 taking care of the weekly cribbage games on Thursdays.
She was cherished and better known to her grandchildren and her great grands as “Nanny” or “Nan” for her delicious peanut butter cookies and fantastic knitting skills.
In keeping with Ethel’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES . The Jenkins family will announce a celebration of Ethel’s life at a later date to be held in the spring.
Ethel’s family would like to thank Cassellholme for their excellent care and especially for their compassion during the final stage of her life.
