Ernest Porter
Passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2017 at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in his 89th year. Predeceased by his wife Mary “Vonnie” Porter (2007). Cherished step father to Mary Westlake of Hensall and Floyd Westlake of Exeter. Dear step grandfather of Shannon (Bill) Romph of Exeter, Cheyenne (Dan) McClinchey of Hensall, 2 great granddaughters and 4 great grandsons. Predeceased by his parents Jason and Aleda Porter. Survived by his siblings Bev and Lorna Porter of Bramalee), Carol Hamilton of Owen Sound, Don and Shelia Porter of Owen Sound and Ron and Lynne Porter of Oxenden. Ernie will be missed by 8 neices and nephews and dear friends Larry and Michele Gaynor and family. Friends will be received at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home (11 Cambria Road North, Goderich) on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. With a Lions Service beginning at 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
