Empress McDowell
1919-2018
The death occurred peacefully, with her family by her side,
at Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday, January 5, 2018, of Empress
McDowell, of O’Leary, aged 98, beloved wife of the late Roy
McDowell. Empress was born in Milo, on September 6, 1919, daughter of
the late John « Jack Tidy »& Lucy (Milligan)
MacNevin.
Cherished mother to her daughters, Millie (Russell) Brown,
Hamilton, ON ; Elsie Smith, West Point and Verna Jeffery, Alberton.
Loving grandmother to Glenda, Garth, Brian, Juliette, Glen, Carter,
Robert, Randy, Diane, Kenny and Darlene, 21 great grandchildren and 17
great great grandchildren. Dear sister to Millie Gallant and
Hollis MacNevin.
Empress was predeceased by her parents, husband Roy, sons in
law Allison Smith, Wilbert Jeffery, grandson Kerras Jeffery,
granddaughter Carol Smith, brothers David and Russell and sisters,
Helen Blacquiere, Annie Bryanton and Orilla MacNevin .
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Sunday from 2-5 pm Funeral
service on Monday at 11:00 am in the Chapel.
Interment in
the Knutsford Cemetery.
