Richard, Emile passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side, in Southampton on Monday March 12, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Frances Richard (nee McQuay). Devoted and Loving father to his daughters Angela Richard of Port Elgin and Susie (Greg Glass) Richard of North Bay, and to his son the late Robin Richard (1986). Proud and loving grandfather to Brady, Parker, Drew, and Eugenie. Dear brother to Gerald (Jean), Leo (Julia), Nora, Alice, and Rosalie (Alvin), brother-in-law to Bernadette and Bella, and uncle to many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Pierre & Eugenie, his granddaughter Sage, by his siblings, Placide (Rita), Patrick (Zelia), Fidele, Marcel, Melanie ‘Min’ (Leo), Aurore (Yvon), and by his brother-in-laws, Yvon and Emery. Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Sunday March 25, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Emile Richard will be held at the Port Elgin United Church on Monday March 26 at 11 a.m. A Masonic Service to be conducted at the church on Monday at 10:40 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment of Ashes at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Southampton United Church or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
