Obituary of Elvin Otis
With sadness, we announce the passing of Elvin Alexander Otis, who died peacefully at the Sus Health Centre on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born in Southfield, NB on September 19, 1927, a son of the late Alexander and Emma (Campbell) Otis and husband of the late Lorna (Lackie) Otis.
Elvin is survived by his brothers: Murray (Marion) Otis of Apohaqui, NB, Clarence Otis of Parlee Brook, NB, Ernest (Sally) Otis of Southfield, NB; sisters: Ethel Gailey of Apohaqui, NB, Marie Henderson of Sus, NB; sisters-in-law: Joan Otis of Norton, NB, Shirley Folkins of the USA, Judy Lackie of Sus Corner, NB; brothers-in-law: Curtis (Pat) Lackie of Newtown, NB, Crandall (Ruth) Lackie of Carsonville, NB, Alfred (Evelyn) Lackie of Mount Middleton, NB, Ora (Phylis) Lackie of Smiths Creek, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Lorna, he was also predeceased by his brothers: Aubrey, Lawrence, Ronald; brother-in-law, Wendell Lackie and sister-in-law, Marguerite Otis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2 to 5pm. Funeral service conducted by The Rev. Canon Tom Stradwick will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 1:00pm from Wallace Community Chapel.
