Elsie A. Greenlund

Elsie Adelia Greenlund, 88, of Hants Border, Kings County, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on October 5, 1930 in Canning, Kings County. She was a daughter of the late Omery and Esther (Daniel) Phillips.
Elsie had been employed at Canadian Keyes Fibre for forty years; being very active in the Union. She took great joy in her family and she enjoyed travelling, scratch tickets and bingo with her “bingo buddies”, Joan Beckwith and Beth Schofield.
Surviving are daughter, Faye Cynthia (Alan) Sponagle, Avonport; son, Orville Clyde, Hants Border; stepson, Nicholas (Terry) Hird, Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Leslie (Robin) Phillips, Canning; sister, Bessie Fraser, Berwick; several nieces and nephews.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Clyde “Harry” Greenlund; stepson, Perry Spidle; brothers, Charles and Foster; sister, Constance “Connie” Naugler.
There will be no visitation by request.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Hantsport. Rev. Tom Henderson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
