Elizabeth ‘s Obituary
Nugent, Elizabeth P. « Tish » of Halifax, passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2018, at the age of 85. Born in Hebron, NS, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Ferguson. When she was a young girl the family moved to Liverpool, NS, where she resided until her marriage to Bill in 1953. For over fifty years they lived happily together in many different cities and towns across Canada while raising five children. Mom was a talented singer, a great friend, an exceptional cook and a lover of golf, curling, bridge, birds, cats, and dogs. Tish is survived by daughters Anne (Terry) Nugent-Kelly, Pat (Bob) Poirier; sons Mark (Amanda) and Kevin (Carol-Anne); son-in-law Chuck Weatherby; grandchildren Ashlee, Rachael, Darcy, Charlie, Madison, and Alex; great-grandchildren Kassidy, Addison and Bexley; brother, Charlie, and sister, Trudy, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, daughter, Susan, and brother, Fuller.
In keeping with her wishes, Tish’s body has been donated to Dalhousie University Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology for the advancement of medical education and research.
Plans for a celebration are not yet complete.
