She gave us a lifetime of love and laughter, and she will remain forever locked safely within our hearts. Daughter of the late Mark and Flora (Deering) Kelloway, Elfreda was predeceased by her husband Angus; her son Ross; her brothers Aubrey, Jabez, and Berkley; her sisters-in-law Mary, Rose, and Marion; and her brothers-in-law Jack, Fred, and Clayton. Mourning their loss, but grateful for the good fortune of her past and enduring presence in their lives are daughters Dianne (Everett Morris) and Cherry (John Connors); son Barrie; daughter-in-law Linda; grandchildren Lisa (Edward Kenny), Nola (Bill Malone), Stacey (Steve Chipin), and Shelley; great-grandchildren Sydney, Laura, Ava, Alia, Nicolas, Julia, Annike, and Matthew; special family friend Patricia White; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Isles Funeral Home in Twillingate on Friday, July 6, 7 PM – 9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Twillingate Central United Church on Saturday, July 7 at 11 AM.
The family extends enormous thanks and gratitude to the Neurology Medical Team attending Elfreda at the Health Sciences Complex and to the Nurses and Staff of Glenbrook Lodge for the special care they provided to her during the five years she called Glenbrook home. The kindness, the fun, and the friendship that Elfreda experienced there, and especially the level of comfort provided in her final hours, will never be forgotten by her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
