Obituary of Eldeen Farwell
It is with great sadness that the family of Eldeen Farwell announces her passing on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 84. Eldeen was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred, her parents Walfred and Shirley Pederson, her sisters June Cann, Joyce Leonard and Betty Bateson, brothers-in-law Roy Cann, Gordon Leonard, Gerald Bateson and Edward Voisin. Left to cherish her memory are sisters Donna Voisin and Anne Holman (George), brother Warren Pederson (Bev), brother-in-law Harold Farwell and many nieces and nephews. Eldeen was born in Assiniboia and was raised in Congress where she met the love of her life, Alfred Farwell. Alf and Eldeen settled in Moose Jaw to work and pursue their many common interests such as camping, sports of all kinds especially baseball and curling, card playing, country music, big family picnics/gatherings, and of course trips to Vegas. Eldeen was well known for many things including her puzzles which she displayed proudly in her garage, her crafts, afghans and homemade donuts. She was a very independent, strong-willed woman with a great sense of humour and a love of family. She also found deep companionship with her numerous dogs over the years. Eldeen will be fondly remembered as a hardworking, kind-hearted and giving person in her quiet and humble manner. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Moose Jaw Home Care Services for their kind and compassionate care over the last few years. A public visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga Street W, Moose Jaw, followed by at Graveside Service at Rosedale Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Please meet at Parkview Funeral Chapel by 1:00 p.m. to proceed to the cemetery.
