OBITUARY
Egon Overmeyer
July 2, 1929 – October 30, 2018
Passed away peacefully in his 90th year on October 30, 2018 at Amica Dundas. Predeceased by his beloved wife Thea.
Loving father to John (Debbie), Gary (Celine), Linda (Gord), and Barbara (John). Proud grandfather to Michael (Heather), Lara (Keith), Nicholas, Chelsea, Brooke, Emma, Claire, Max and Eve. Egon will be missed by his brother in law Werner (the late Agnes) and their children Elizabeth, Andy, and Marianne; and his brother in law Bernd. Predeceased by his sister Gisela. He will also be missed by family and his many friends in Canada, Germany and Florida. Egon was a longtime member of St. Boniface Church in Hamilton and the Rockton Lions Club. He and Thea loved to travel having many adventures and making lasting memories. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lind Holland, the staff at Amica and Best Care Agency for their care and compassion. Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel” 195 King Street West, Dundas on Friday, November 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 3rd at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
