DELAIRE, Edgar (1921-2018)
The family announces with great sorrow his passing on November 29th, 2018 at the age of 97. Son of Emery and Rose-Marie (Gervais) Delaire. Beloved husband of Rolande Marcotte predeceased in 2011 and Lena Ross predeceased in 1977. Loving father Roger (Josée Caron) of Sudbury, Paulette Woods (Sylvain Auprix) of Rockland. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Andre (Charissa), Matthew (Debbie) and Sean, great grandchildren Sophie, Vincent, Ella, Caleb and Nolan. Dear brother Ben, Larry, John, Rita, Thérèse and baby Roger all predeceased and survived by Jacqueline Primeau (Rolland). Edgar will be remembered for his humor “Don’t worry, be happy!” and his kindness. Special thank you to Dr. Kuchtaruk and the staff on the 2nd floor west wing at the Falconbridge Extendicare and the staff on the 4th floor Palliative Care at HSN who’s care and devotion made a difference in our father’s life. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
