Obituary of Earl Richardson
Mr. Earl Robinson Richardson was born on September 16, 1935 in Waterford , NB where he was raised by his parents the late Raymond and Helen (Robinson) Richardson.
In his teen years, Earl moved to Sus . Little did he know that later he would meet the love of his life, Hazel Crawford at Friars Restaurant. He frequented Friars’ for coffee after work until he finally asked Hazel if he could give her a drive home. On October 12, 1955 they were married and they would share over 60 years together.
Their love story would continue through the generations with five wonderful children; five amazing grandchildren and eight glorious great grandchildren; all of who were the apple of Grampie’s eye.
He loved to fish and was an avid bowler and a league member for several years with a record high score for quite sometime. He loved to curl with Hazel, in fact anytime spent with Hazel was time well spent in his eyes.
Earl was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sus Branch #20 for over 60 years.
Earl will live on in the hearts of his children: Debbie of Fredericton, Ray of Hampton, John and his wife Beth of Sus, Chris of Airdrie and Randy and his wife Lois of Sus; his grandchildren: Ted Richardson and his fiancée Bryony Jollimore, Cody Richardson and his wife Erin, Darcy Richardson, Mandy Richardson and Melissa Richardson and her fiancé Chris McDonald; his great grandchildren: Ethan, Mason, Kaleb, Rosie, Brenan, Violet, Charlotte and Gavin; his sister, Ruth Powell of Sus; his brother-in-law, Donald Crawford (Anna) of Mount Middleton; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Pagett (Ernest) of Markhamville; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Mr. Earl Richardson of Sus passed away at the Sus Health Center on October 27, 2018 at the age of 83.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Hazel (Crawford) Richardson; his great granddaughter, Lily; his daughter-in-law, Mary Richardson; his brothers-in-law: Roy Crawford, Allen Crawford, Merton and Joyce Crawford, Harold and Lillian Crawford, Ronald and Bella Crawford, Ralph and Dorthy Crawford, Alan Powell and Frank Cole and by his sisters-in-law: Jeanette Crawford, Ada and Lawrence Wallace, Marie and Milton Anderson and Eva and Bayard London.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm.
The Royal Canadian Legion Sus Branch #20 will hold a tribute at 5:45pm.
A Celebration of Earl’s life will be held on from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00am with Canon Rev. Tom Stradwick officiating.
The interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery , Sus , NB.
