E. Louise Beal
Beal (Chittick), Ella “Louise” – age 81 of Dartmouth. Passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sheet Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Elizabeth (Naugler) Chittick. Louise worked as a telephone operator for Maritime Tel & Tel, Bell Canada and Manitoba Tel & Tel until she stayed home to raise her family. She was actively involved in Stevens Road United Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, social committee and Women’s Missionary Society until ill health limited her participation. Louise was outgoing and developed many friendships throughout her lifetime. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry; sons, Mark (Lynn), Lower Sackville, Kevin (Kumud), Dartmouth; granddaughters, Brianna and Emily, Lower Sackville and many nieces and nephews; sisters, Maxine Hartling, Marjorie (Frank) Moore, Florence Chittick (John Knox) all of Dartmouth, Mary Iris (Rey) Pettipas, Fredericton NB, Martha (Russell) Cameron, Sussex NB; brother, Robert (Margaret), Dartmouth; sister in law, Muriel Chittick, Sheet Harbour, Glenda Chittick, Lower Sackville. Besides her parents, Louise was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, Arnett, Leroy, Warren, Dennis and a baby brother, Frederick Eldridge; sisters in law, Roberta and Noan Chittick; brother in law, Donald Hartling. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday, February 5 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. A Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, February 7 in Stevens Road United Baptist Church, 2 Stevens Road, Dartmouth, Rev. Christopher Drew officiating. Burial to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception will be held in the church hall. Donations may be made to Stevens Road United Baptist Church Memorial Fund or a charity of choice.
