October 18, 1943 – July 14, 2018
After a long battle with COPD and diabetes, June passed away in the early hours of July 14, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Rao (2008). Loving mother of Emma Okkerse (Terry), Stella Lampman (Jason) and Jeff Weasner (Tammy). June will be fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by her sisters in law Virginia White and Pat Weasner. June is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Emma Weasner, by three brothers: Frank White, Charlie Weasner, Ivan Weasner and three sisters Bertha Moore (Elston), Lillian Christian (Harry) and Ruth Saltarelli (John). She was also predeceased by her stillborn son Roy, niece Gloria and nephews Tom and Fred.
Family and friends will be received at the H.L.Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Tuesday, July 17th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.The funeral service will take place in the Cudney Chapel on Wednesday, July 18th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
