Wright, Doreen Rae
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doreen Rae Wright (nee Lewis) 1935 – 2018. While in high school, Doreen met her one and only love, Edward J. Wright. In 1954 they married and had 3 sons; Richard (Maureen) of Edmonton, Alberta, Shawn (Lynda) of Stratford and Robert (Suzanne) of Toronto. Doreen was a proud grandma to 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. Doreen is lovingly remembered by her surviving brother Leonard Lewis of Tillsonburg, Ontario. Doreen was predeceased by her parents Frank and Dorothy Lewis, a brother Ernie Lewis, a sister Natalie Ainsworth and a grandson Jamie Wright. The family would especially like to thank Lynda for her love, care and compassion for mom. Thanks also to Sherri Gilhula of the Alzheimer Society of Stratford for her support and to the caring staff at People Care Tavistock for their exceptional care of Doreen. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral home service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Stratford Festival Theatre, Marquis Room, Stratford on Saturday October 6, 2018 from 1 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society through the W.G.
