Donald Jones
Born February 17, 1930 and died February 1, 2018. Predeceased by his parents Bernadette (nee Giroux 1982) and Melvin Arthur Jones (1986), Brother Gerald Jones (1991), Sister Joyce Grima Jones (1998), Brother Paul Joseph Jones (2004) and Brother Bernard Joseph Jones (2005). Survived by his loving sisters Virginia Whittaker (Hope-Francis) of Windsor, Marilyn Downing (Bud) of Kelowna, B.C. Don was well known for his good work as roofing was his trade and one of the best in Windsor. Don was a very good dancer. He danced at the Moose Lodge on Wednesdays, was very courteous to the ladies as he brought them back to their table, held their chair when they sat down. When you were feeling bad, he would give you a smile, a very big hug and always would say « You have very big beautiful eyes ». You always felt good around him. The family would wish to thank all the people at Rose Garden for all the love and care Don was given all these years. BE HAPPY THAT WE HAD SO MANY YEARS I GAVE TO YOU, YOU CAN ONLY GUESS HOW MUCH YOU GAVE TO ME IN HAPPINESS. Visiting at Janisse Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, (519-253-5225) on Saturday, February 3rd from 1pm until the hour of Funeral Service at 2pm. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
