Forever In Our Hearts
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Don passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s on June 30, 2018 at the age of 68.
He leaves to mourn his wife Val, son Rick and daughter Kelli (Marcel) Fortin, three grandchildren; Sara Kowalchuk, Ethan and Koen Fortin. Also one brother, Jim (Sharon) Kowalchuk and one sister Barbara (John) Scheiris; as well as three nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Lynn.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Catholic Parish of Corpus Christi- 2707 34 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. .
The family would like to thank the staff at Capital Care Strathcona for their wonderful care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society.
