Dmytro « Matt » Yuzek
1927-2018
Yuzek, Dmytro “Matt” – Passed away peacefully,
surrounded by family at the Innisfree House, Kitchener, on Saturday
December 22, 2018 at the age of 91. Loving and devoted husband of
Barbara Yuzek (nee Marshall). Cherished father of Angela Gott (the
late William) of Dundalk, ON. Proud grandfather of David McLaren
(Vanessa) and their three children of Stratford, ON. Matt will also
be sadly missed by his sisters Helen and Patricia of Saskatoon, SK,
his sisters-in-law Ruth Gooding and Geri Marshall (the late Don) as
well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Matt was
predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary Yuzek, as well as his three
brothers and one sister. Matt enjoyed a career with Ontario Hydro,
was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church and a
volunteer at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Resting at Corbett
Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will
be received for memorial visitation on Friday December 28, 2018 from
2-4 & 7-9p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted at St.
Luke’s Anglican Church, 1485 Mary Ave., Cambridge, on Saturday
December 29, 2018 at 1p.m. Reception will follow. A private family
interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St.
Luke’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
