OBITUARY
Dennis Fairfield Griffin
September 30, 1942 – November 14, 2018
It is with profound sadness that the family of Dennis announce his sudden passing on Wednesday November 14th, 2018 in his 77th year.
He is survived by his wife, best friend and soul mate Bonnie of 53 years. His children Victoria, Regan (Fred) and Tyson (Laura) and grandchildren Mykaelah, Venessa, Jayden, Adrienne, and Tariq. Brother of Peter (Sandy), brother-in-law Robert (Randi). Predeceased by his parents Sanford and June Griffin, in-laws Robert and Marion Fraser and infant son Brandon Jay.
Dennis was a teacher with the HWDSB for 34 years. He had a profound love for football and coached at all levels, minor to professional, in the Hamilton area for over 5 decades. Coach Griff has impacted many lives and will be missed.
Friends may call at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday November 19, 2018 from 6-9 pm, Tuesday November 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
