Deborah Anne « Debbie » Steeves
1957-2018
Deborah « Debbie » Steeves ,61, of
Lower Coverdale passed away peacefully
on August 22nd, 2018 at the Moncton Hospital with her family
by her side.
Debbie was born in Moncton on July 24th,
1957 the daughter of the late Weldon O’Brien and Bessie (Hawkes)
O’Brien of Hillsborough.
Debbie was Activity Director
at Lakeview Manor for 25 years until she
retired. Caring for people was just her nature and she loved
making sure everyone around her was happy. She was the type
of person who when you met her she would always make you feel uplifted
in some way. She had the ability of making people feel
special and wanted, she had a real gift of hospitality.
Debbie found beauty in everyday. She loved gardening, doing
crafts and was known for her pickling and preserves, having entered
several entries to the Albert County Exhibition often taking 1st
place. She was also very generous and always made wonderful
holiday memories for her family. You always knew when she
was around by her laugh echoing the halls. Debbie had a love
of music and could be found whistling a tune everywhere she went. She
also had a special place in her heart for her pet dogs, Bailey and
Brandy. Her husband, children and grandchildren
have felt so blessed to have such a special person in their lives, she
was definitely the rock of the family. Debbie just
made the world a better place. She would want everyone to
remember the good times they shared and all the fun they had
together. » Death leaves a heartache no one
can heal, Love leaves us memories no one can
steal. »
