Forever In Our Hearts
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of David Paul Hatala on August 26, 2018 at the age of 66 years old; surrounded by his loving family. We are left to reflect on the love and life of a remarkable man.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Susan and his four children: Kelsey (Sheryl), Monica (Gregory), Christopher (Natasha) and Nicholas (Marlee). David will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Ethan, Jaden, Benjamin and his Mother in Law, Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter Jennifer, his parents Joseph & Agnes and father in law Joseph.
David was born in Rimbey, Alberta on August 19 ,1952 to Joseph & Agnes Hatala. He leaves behind two brothers: Wayne (Carla) & Dale (Linda)
David will forever be remembered by many family including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his generous heart and welcoming hands. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to medical staff and the many family and friends who have supported our family and David through his journey.
David loved his family more than anything else. The quality of a father and a husband can be seen in his goals, dreams and aspirations that he set not only for himself, but for his family and those he loved. David’s entrepreneurial spirit was one to be admired after becoming a leader in the water treatment industry for over 38 years and travelled every highway across Western Canada. David’s many interests included entertaining, camping and golf with his family and friends. His love of horses led him on many pack trips and hunting adventures on ATV’s. His passion for travel with his wife, family & friends truly made his heart happy. David’s legacy will remain always, with all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
