David Harvey
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, stepfather and uncle David Wayne Harvey which occurred at his home in Nash Creek on June 05, 2018 at the age of 54.
David was a carpenter by trade and worked with his good friend Elden LaPointe’s Carpentry business, working on many projects in the surrounding area. David enjoyed the simple things in life like fishing, digging clams, going for bike rides and especially enjoyed climbing Sugarloaf Mountain. His love for animals always brought a smile to his face.
David is survived by his parents Donald and Lorraine (Esliger) Harvey; stepdaughter Natasha Chamberlain; sisters Dana Blake (Stewart) of Hampton, Robin Nichol (Ken) of New Mills; brother Craig (Karla) of Ottawa; nieces Kayla Galley, Emily Nichol,; nephews Daniel Blake, Ryan and Aidan as well as his two great nieces Lexie and Carlie.
A graveside funeral service to celebrate Davids life will be held on Saturday, June 09, 2018 at 2 PM at the New Mills Protestant Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to a charity of donors choice in memory of David would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.
