Obituary for Mr. Damian Leonard Ward
Mr. Damian L. Ward, 47, of Calgary, AB (Stephenville Crossing, NL) along with his best buddy Boyd, his beloved Chocolate Labrador Retriever, have left this earthly realm.
After High School Damian became a member of the Canadian Armed Forces – Naval Division where he served his country for 9 years and obtained a marine engineering degree. He then went on to continue his education and accomplished a civil engineering degree at Dalhousie University, NS. He then worked for Alberta companies as an engineer until a few years ago he decided to take the courageous leap and form his own business working full time from home as a successful investor. His family could not be more proud of him.
Damian leaves to mourn his Father Leonard Ward; Sister Dionne Ward-Young; Stepmother Betty Ward; Brother-in-Law Allan Young; Nieces: Jalysa Young and Julianna Young; Great-Niece Tyra Louvelle; Best Friends: Greg Carroll (his Soul-Brother) and Jana Brennan-Carroll; along with a large circle of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He was pre-deceased by his Mother Ann Maria Lucas; Grandparents: Thomas & Katherine Lucas and Herbert & Mary Ward.
Thank you to all who loved Damian and shared in his life experiences. His spirit and presence will forever be with everyone who loved and understood him. His luminous eyes, hearty laugh, quick wit and quirky sense of humor will be forever ingrained in our hearts.
In Damian’s honour the family requests that you love one another, say the important things and be kind to yourselves and each other. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal shelter or animal rescue center in memory of Damian and Boyd.
A celebration of Damian’s life will be arranged at a later date. “……..I love you….what more can I say……”
