Dale Trowbridge
April 4, 1944 – April 3, 2018
Dale Trowbridge, beloved husband of Inge Trowbridge of Stenen, SK, passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on April 3, 2018, at the age of 73 years.
Dale was born April 4, 1944, in Lucky Lake, SK, to Richard George and Celia Eileen (Myers) Trowbridge. On July 19, 1969, he was united in marriage to Inge Lehmann at Sarnia, ON. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Rhonda and Pamela. Dale obtained employment as an agent with the Sask Wheat Pool, where he continued to work for over 25 years. Over the years, the family lived in many different homes and communities as Dale transferred and relocated often with his occupation. No matter where they lived, Dale was sure to make each new house a wonderful home for his family.
In his spare time, Dale enjoyed outdoor activities. He was an active member of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially appreciated the valuable time spent camping and travelling with his family. The most memorable family vacations were experienced throughout Ontario and British Columbia, but Dale always knew any time spent with his family was significant, no matter where they were. He made it a priority to keep connected with the ones he loved.
Dale enjoyed meeting new people and seemed to know people everywhere. He will be remembered for his brilliant smile, wonderful sense of humour, his compassion and empathy for others and his willingness to always lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dale was predeceased by his parents, Richard ‘George’ and Celia.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Inge; daughters, Rhonda Houghton and Pamela Vallevand; grandchildren: Tenille Vallevand, Tamsin Fehr, Knute Vallevand, Devon Pearce, Kayleigh Pearce, Jenika McArthur, Dreton Hotomani, Brayden Blackbird Hotomani and Jaylin and Skye Houghton; great-grandchildren, Skye Kohli, Jaxx Kohli, Rhyder Pearce and Maveryk Kohli; and sister, Linda Maitland; and brothers: Larry Trowbridge, Bert Trowbridge and Wayne Trowbridge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, with Shawna Leson as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Riverhurst Cemetery, Riverhurst, SK, at a later date. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency or to Kinsmen Telemiracle, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Dale Trowbridge.
