Colonel was born June 1, 1924 on the farm in Dina, Alberta. After working in Cold Lake he came to British Columbia to work in the logging industry. It was in Quesnel that he met Madeleine. They worked in logging camps running the kitchens until 1965 when they moved to Prince George. He retired as Superintendent of Netherlands Overseas mill. He and Madeleine moved to the Okanagan, Creston, and finally to Duncan. They enjoyed many winters in Mesa, Arizona golfing with friends and family who also wintered in the south.
Thank you to Lodge on Fourth in Ladysmith for the wonderful care he received the last year of his life. He couldn’t have been in better hands.
No service at his request. He will be cremated and laid to rest beside Madeleine in Mountain View Cemetery in Duncan, BC.
