Passed peacefully away on September 25, 2018 at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness. Predeceased by her husband Edward (2010); her parents Wilfred and Mary (Hennessey); her sisters Elizabeth Prentice, Mary Fewer and Margaret O’Brien; her sister-in-law Lydia Squires; and her brothers-in-law James Murphy, John Murphy and Ray Fewer. Leaving to mourn her loving children Richard (Gerry), Marina (Greg), Jim (Brenda), David (Fay) and Gene; grandchildren Matthew and Ben, Tristan and Shealyn, and Gabrielle, Liam and Cameron (and their mother Colleen); sister Rose Battcock (Ron) and brother Peter O’Brien, brother-in-law Stan Murphy (Dot) and sister-in-law Theresa Joyce; as well as a large circle of family and friends, including many nieces, nephews and cousins, former teaching colleagues, and her many card and concert buddies with whom she enjoyed many happy evenings. Thanks to the staff of Agnes Pratt for their kind and compassionate care of our Mom during her short stay. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 6-9pm and Thursday from 12-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30am on Friday, September 28, 2018 from St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive with cremation to follow. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
