It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John David Carson on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the age of 64. John died suddenly at Victoria Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Born April 20th, 1953 in Chapleau, Ontario, John was predeceased by his parents Carmel Leona Carson and John Alfred Carson. Loving husband of Susan. Brother of Donnie (Colleen), Dennis (Anne), and Brian (Sandra). Loving father to Lindsay, Sarah (Nicole), Andrew (Jenny), Kym and Jeff. Cherished Grandfather (‘Grumpy’) to Ronin, Kurtis, Henley, Mabel, Murphy, and Ruby. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. John served on the London City Police Force for 32 years. He also proudly served for the Canadian Army Reserves for 7 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion they provided. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodhull Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in John’s name to the London Humane Society.
