Caroline Winsor (Pike)
WINSOR, Caroline (nee Pike) – Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center on Sunday, May 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, Caroline Winsor age 84 years. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Suzanna Pike; husband Cedric Howard; sons: Robert and Stephen who were lost on the Ocean Ranger; daughter Joy Keith and brother Richard. Leaving to mourn her children: Lawrence, Gordon (Lorraine), Carol Ann (Marcos) Ferrer of Spain, Sharon, Roger (Bonnie), Ruth (Mike) Johnson of Virginia USA, Kathy of BC, Jill (Joe) Lewis, and Jeannie (Scott) Riley of Georgia USA; Son-In-Law, Doug Keith; her sisters: Jean Winsor of Ontario, Gertrude (Patrick) Hayes of NS and Hazel Mercer of Ontario; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friends Daisy (John), Pearl and her Solid Rock Wesleyan Church family, as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Very special thanks to the doctors, nurses and caring staff from the Health Sciences Emergency Department and the I.C.U. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 and Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 -9:00p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Solid Rock Wesleyan Church, Mt. Pearl. Reception to follow at 12:00 noon at the Church. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at 2:00p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Solid Rock Wesleyan Church Memorial Fund in Caroline’s memory.
