Carol Ann Burke
At Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham, on Friday May 4th, 2018, Carol Ann Burke of Chatham passed away peacefully at the age of 77 years with her family by her side. Cherished daughter of the late Leonard and Gladys Featherstone. Her amazing spirit will live on through her children Lorne Burke (Diane) of Vernon, B.C., John Burke (Leatha) of Ridgetown, and Heather Burke (Rob Krenos) of Waterdown. Carol was a proud Grandma to Sydney, Sam, Dahlia, Lily, Connor, Poppy and Cameron. Dear sister of Darlene Featherstone of Chatham and Diane Pease of St. Thomas, and dear sister-in-law of Evelyn Rumble of Blenheim. She will be fondly remembered by her several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her brothers William (Bill) and Larry Featherstone, and brother-in-law Carl Pease. Carol was born at home in Merlin on January 15th, 1941. She graduated as a R.N. in 1962 from the Chatham Public General Hospital (now Chatham-Kent Health Alliance) School of Nursing and after graduation worked there and at the Southwestern Regional Centre, Cedar Springs. The family wishes to thank the staff of Meadow Park for their kind and compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Wednesday May 9th with visiting from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Gabriella Cutler officiating. Interment Stewart Cemetery. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
