Butch Beck
1943-2018
REXTON, NB – Gerald « Butch » Beck
74, of Rexton passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste.
Anne de Kent on Friday, October 5, 2018. Born in Rexton, he was the
son of the late Earl Beck and late Freda (Richard)
Beck.
Butch was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and
fishing. He worked with the Richibucto River Association to
help restore and preserve the local watershed. He owned and
operated several restaurants and in his down time he could be found in
the kitchen cooking and creating new recipes.
Butch will be sadly missed by his wife, Catherine (Roach)
Beck of Rexton; his daughter, Shelley Beck (Steven); his son, Carey
Beck both of Moncton and his precious two grandchildren, Katie and
Rowan.
Butch is also survived by his sister, Margaret Rose
« Margie » Sullivan (Owen) of
Rexton.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 pm and Monday at noon until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm, Immaculate Conception Roman
Catholic Church, Rexton. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
