In Loving Memory of Brian O’Blenes
It is with great sadness that the family of Brian O’Blenes announces his passing at the age of 75 years. Brian passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2018 with loved ones at his side.
Born in Moncton on March 26, 1942, he was the son of the late Russell and Phyllis O’Blenes.
Brian was a kind and gentle man whose love for his family knew no bounds. He will be lovingly remembered by Judy, his wife of 51 years, his sons, Stacy (Catherine), Graydon (Rhonda), Jonathan (Lori), his daughters, Shannon, Meghan (Michael), Erin, and grandchildren, Drew, Callyn, Sam, Autumn, Evan, Thomas, Asher and Lachlann.
He will also be missed by his sister, Linda (late Walter) Downey, his brother, Peter (Wendy), and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by his brother Paul.
Brian was a Civil Engineer, graduating from UNB in 1966. His main interests were construction and project management with an emphasis on being environmentally responsible. He retired in 2009 after working 26 years as a Project Manager for Correctional Services Canada.
Brian had a passion for woodworking and in retirement enjoyed spending time in his workroom thinking up new projects. He enjoyed taking road trips and exploring back roads, always on the lookout for Woodcock cover. Brian liked trap shooting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
A gathering to remember and celebrate Brian’s life will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home from 4PM to 7PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018.
