BOUDREAU, Brian Joseph – Passed away at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 12, 2018 at the age of 69, after a six year battle with cancer. Born in Wedgeport on October 12, 1948, he was a son of the late James and Alma Boudreau of Lower Wedgeport. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra Murphy Boudreau, and by a sister, Debbie (Clarke) Haley; sisters-in-law Barbara Murphy (Jim), Sharon Murphy (Steven), Shelley Wilson, Lynn Boudreau, (NY); brother-in-law, Jack (Elaine) Murphy; mother-in-law, Agnes Murphy; many nieces and nephews (too many to list); special grand-nephew, Braden Forewell, who loved to visit and fish with Brian, and drive his four wheelers, as well as many good friends. Brian was a lobster fisherman most of his life, and fished for over 30 years with/for Bruce LeBlanc. They also went hand lining on George’s Bank for a few years. He enjoyed fishing both for work and for sport, and would still go out lobstering with friends (just for fun) when he could. He was a very social person, and could talk to anyone. He enjoyed his time with family and friends and had special bonds with some. He enjoyed travel vacations to Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Florida, US, Mexico, and Canada. Brian was predeceased by his only brother, Richard (NY), and by brothers-in-law, Ken Murphy, Richard (Rick) Murphy, Warren Murphy, and father-in-law, Michael J. Murphy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport on Thursday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m., Father Albeni d’Entremont officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Gilles Boudreau & Friends Cancer Help Fund, Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, VON, St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery or any charity of your choice.
