in his 85th year
Born on August 4th, 1934 in Holstein, Ontario, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on September 1st, 2018 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
Beloved husband of 59 years to Jean (nee Cudney) originally from Orangeville. Loving father of Brad (Nora), Lori Artus (Andrew) and Brent. Cherished grandfather of Damian & Sheena Long, Clint & Jeffrey Lamarre, Amberleigh Kelly, Ben Artus, Joshua Artus and Brendan & Connor Long. Great grandfather of Acacia (of British Columbia), Addisyn, Aerryn & Mykle Kelly of Callendar, Lathem Artus of Yellowknife, Karle & Brodie Lamarre of Sturgeon Falls and Sapphire of North Bay. Survived by Harold, Dorothy, Mona, Lavern, Carl and Paul. Predeceased by Ronald, Delbert, Jack, Wallace and Bob. He was dearly loved and respected by all his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the dedicated and attentive staff at Health Sciences North – especially 4th floor north tower Palliative Care and 6th floor south tower Respiratory Care for their care and compassion.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Lougheed Funeral Home.
