With family by her side, Bev passed away peacefully on December 24, 2018 at her home in the Village of Tansley Woods. Loving partner of Norman Harris for 34 years. Caring Mother of Kim (Rodney), David (Jennifer), and Michelle (Dina). Dear sister to Donna Benn (Robert) and Robert Wilson (Jillian). Adored Nana to Jay (Lisa), Justin, Aaron and Raf. Great-Nana D to Danica and Raina. Loved and admired by Darlene, Barbara, other nieces, nephews, the Harris family, extended family and friends.
Bev was born in Hamilton Ontario on December 12, 1934, the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Marvena Wilson. She raised her family in Waterdown and Burlington, where she worked as an Adminstrative Assistant, Law Clerk and in retirement, an Avon Representative. Later in life, she found the love of her life, Norman. They enjoyed their time together travelling and building memories with family and friends. She often said the best part of having children was grandchildren. Her love for them was immeasurable. Her love of family was unmistakable and continues to inspire our lives and values every day.
We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the staff at the Village of Tansley Woods and the Acclaim Health Care Team, (too many to mention in a small space) who lovingly cared for Bev over the past 5 years. A special thank you to Dr.Chris Ragonetti, his RPN team, and the Egerton Team. Their clinical excellence, compassion, sense of humour and kind hearts carried Bev and her family through some difficult times.
In keeping with Bev’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held on January 6, 2019 at Appleby United Church, 4407 Spruce Ave. Burlington ON at 1:30PM followed by a Celebration of Life (Mom wanted a party!) until 5:00 at The Village of Tansley Woods Retirement, 4100 Upper Middle Rd.
