Bettena Louise Almon-Felhaber
(Retired after 35 years from the Petawawa Civic Centre)
In hospital, St. John’s, Newfoundland on December 29, 2017 at the age of 79 years.
Betty Almon-Felhaber (nee Power) of Petawawa, dearly loved wife of the late George Almon and by second marriage Raymond Felhaber. Beloved mother of Robert Almon and Kelly Hall and step mother to Susanne Vaillancourt (Keith Benson) and Colleen Butler. Mother-in-law to John Hall and John Butler. Grandmother of Ashton, Olivia, Jessi, Travis, Brandon, Andrew, Skyler, Taylor Rae and Payton. Great grandmother of Mallory, Alivia and Connor. Daughter of the late Burnett and Eva Power (nee Ashton). Sister-in-law to Juliana Sevosik and Vicky Power and aunt to Attilla, Tom, Michael and Susan. Pre-deceased by her brother Donald Power.
Although Betty had been retired for several years she stayed involved in the community by volunteering with multiple associations such as Bernadette McCann House, the Petawawa Housing Corporation and the Library Board to name a few. She will be remembered and greatly missed by all family members and friends near and far.
Memorial visitation will take place at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke on Friday, May 11 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will take place in the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations made to Bernadette McCann House would be appreciated.
