It is with great sadness that the family of Bertie Agnes O’Blenis age 85 of Fenwick announce her passing at home on Friday, July 20, 2018 with family by her side.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hibbert and Gladys (Turner) Chapman.
Bertie enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Jones. She was a collector of ornaments. She loved spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Helen (John), Gladys (John) Ellis and Joyce (Bob) O’Blenis; son Albert (Carlene); special granddaughter Bethany and several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters Oressa Sterling, Doris Sterling, Shirley Hoare and Dianne (Winston) Allen; brothers Harris Chapman and Lester Chapman and several nieces and nephews.
Bertie will be missed by her grand puppy, Princeton.
Besides her parents, Bertie was predeceased by her husband Albert; daughter Grace; granddaughter Bertie Ann; great grandson Christopher; sister Phyllis Ward; brothers Hedley, Ronald and Roderick.
An afternoon of remembrance will be held for family and friends on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 2 – 4 pm held at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906.
Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery.
