Bernard J. Chevalier
We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear Bernard, following a brief, yet difficult illness on December 16, 2018 at 94 years of age. Late of Kingsville. Devoted husband of the late Ardis (nee Brandie) for 48 years. Beloved father of Carl (Anne) of Windsor, Noorayne of Kingsville and Paul (Cheryl) of Grosse Pointe Park, MI. Proud grandpa of Misha. Dear brother of Gerald (the late Eva). Predeceased by his father Raymond and mother Juliette (nee Marcotte) and siblings Rita Lavoie (Leo), Edward Dominic, Vincent and Teresa Deane (Bart). Loved dearly by members of the Chevalier, Deane and Lavoie families. Bernard will be missed by many four-legged friends, especially Oliver and Josie.
He was the owner of R. Chevalier & Son Cartage, a local contractor for over 50 years. Bernard and Ardis were both members of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. He was a long-standing member of K of C Windsor Council 1453, 4th Degree with the Rt. Rev. W. J. Langlois Assembly 1789 and a former member of the Order of Alhambra Guzera Caravan 72. A special thank you to Drs. Hussain, Abu-Rasheed and Aoun, as well as the staff of WRH – Ouellette Campus 7 Medicine and HDGHC Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Transition to Betterness (T2B) or the Windsor Downtown Mission would be appreciated by the family.
